ZenaDivo Community Guidelines & Prohibited Items
Effective date: September 30, 2026
ZenaDivo is a friendly place to buy and sell local finds. These guidelines keep it that way. They form part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them can lead to listings being removed and accounts being suspended or closed.
Be honest
- Describe items accurately, including flaws, and use your own photos of the actual item.
- Post the real price in CAD. No bait prices, "$1" placeholders or fake discounts.
- One listing per item. Don't repost the same item repeatedly.
- Post in the correct category and location.
Be respectful
- No harassment, hate, threats or discrimination.
- Keep messages about the listing.
- Don't share other people's personal information.
Be safe
- Keep conversations in ZenaDivo Messages.
- Never ask for or send deposits, gift cards, cryptocurrency or payment to someone you haven't met for an item you haven't seen.
- Don't ask for or share passwords, banking details or government ID.

Prohibited items
You may not list, sell or advertise:
Illegal or regulated goods
- Weapons, firearms, ammunition, firearm parts, replica firearms, prohibited knives, pepper spray and bear spray, and explosives or fireworks
- Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia and cannabis in any form
- Prescription drugs, natural health products making health claims, and medical devices [adjust if you plan to allow licensed sellers]
- Alcohol, tobacco and vaping products
- Stolen goods, and items without proof of ownership when asked
- Counterfeit, replica or pirated goods, and items that infringe someone's intellectual property
- Government-issued documents and IDs, licence plates, and police or official uniforms and badges
- Hazardous materials, including chemicals, pesticides and gas cylinders
- Live animals [or: animals only from registered breeders and shelters, if you choose to allow them]
- Human remains or body parts
- Adult sexual content or services
Products that are banned or recalled in Canada Under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act, it is illegal to sell or give away products that are recalled or banned, and sellers must make sure used products meet current Canadian safety requirements. Health Canada lists these as banned:
- Baby walkers
- Traditional drop-side cribs
- Inclined infant sleep products
- Infant self-feeding devices
- Polycarbonate baby bottles containing BPA
- Yo-yo balls, relight candles, balloon blowing kits and lawn darts with elongated tips
- Jequirity beans and products containing them
Before listing any children's product (cribs, car seats, playpens, strollers, bunk beds, children's sleepwear), check the Government of Canada recalls database and follow Health Canada's guidance on buying and selling second-hand products. Car seats that are expired, have been in a collision, or are missing parts or labels must not be listed.
Other things we don't allow
- Services, jobs, rentals and real estate [until you add categories and rules for them]
- Financial products, loans, investment offers, and "get rich" schemes
- Tickets sold above face value where provincial law restricts resale
- Digital accounts, gift cards and vouchers
- Anything that isn't a real item for sale (wanted ads, questions, promotions) [adjust if you add a "Wanted" category]
We may update this list. If you're unsure whether something is allowed, email zenadivo.support@gmail.com before listing it.
Reporting
See something that breaks these rules? Report it to zenadivo.support@gmail.com or with the Report button on the listing, with the listing link and screenshots. We review reports and may remove listings or accounts. If you think someone is in danger, call 911.
